Parallax in Injustice: Gods Among us, but not???

I’ll be the first to admit, I am disgustingly excited for the Injustice, which is really just DC’s version of Marvel’s Civil War run. I pre-ordered the battle edition. This trailer shows off a different side of Hal Jordan, and another emotion he’s capable of instilling. When I first watched the trailer I got super pumped, and excited… then it had time to resonate, and the whole thing began to unravel it’s self as another cheap addition. 

Anyone who knows the GL lore, would akin this trailer to an attempt to introduce Parallax in some way, shape or form. This would be great, if the production team on the game hadn’t just done a quick pallet swap and recording of some wild lines about fear with Adam Baldwin, Hal Jordan’s voice actor. Hal as Parallax had a very distinct powerful and fear inducing look, and that just can’t be capture with a quick color swap from Green to yellow.

I can look past the reuse of moves, as they do indeed take much more time to conceptualize, program, and develop, but the base for the costume is there, in the comic books… I’d really rather not be the whiney fan that asks for too much, but this simple color switch, where there should be a whole new skin, in what looks like an integral story plot point of the game, will really stunt some aspects of immersion into the world. This is not Mortal Kombat, the DC lore goes farther back and deeper than that. Those tricks won’t work here.

Wow… this is an action packed Gem. One of those trailers that make you ask the age old question “Why don’t they make a whole damn CG movie!?”

Wreck-It Ralph… How do we as Gamers feel about this one? It does look amazing and very much so looks like an homage to the video game characters we’ve come to love across decades. As I type this it makes sense on so many levels. Strategically and Generation wise, it makes perfect sense that something like this would come out now. Video games are Bump-n-Jumpin pretty strong, while today’s film makers and writers are a generation grown up gamers. It’s pretty amazing that it is a Disney title. I hope it’s as good as my imagination would like it to be.

TOTAL RECALL TRAILER SELLS YOU WITHIN A MINUTE!

Holy lord look at this damn sexy piece of remade love. The greatest things you need to know about this version is that it WILL NOT BE SHOT IN 3D, also it claims to play closer to the original Phillp K. Dick’s story line. At first thought, a total recall film remake sounds like a horrible idea; by the time you’re done with the trailer you won’t be thinking that at all. This rendition is looking so damn futuristic that I expect to see the Jetsons and Corbin Dallas in the full final film. lots of hints of upgrades of all the things the fans of the original will happily jizz over. The only thing we need at this point is CG NAKED Tri-Boob and an R-Rating. DEER GOD PLEASE LET THIS HAVE AN R-RATING!!!
