For you people who just cannot seem to grasp how amazing this whole Xbox One reveal is, let me lay this out on the table for you, because many of your disappointments come from misunderstanding and projected expectation.

This was a ‘Console reveal’, not a video games reveal. The fact that in their hour long conference they didn’t even really have time to touch on the games is kind of a big deal. The Xbox One is not simply a “Video game console”. They focused on the All-in-one motif for a reason. It is indeed a full on well rounded entertainment system. Anyone one who has been doing their research keeping up with the trends of the video game industry knows, and may have many a time said themselves that one day the PC, the television, and video game console will one day be one entity. The Xbox One is taking the reins of that day. If you think about it, It started in the Xbox 360 before moving here. The Xbox 360 didn’t have most any of the apps in the beginning of it’s run, that it has now. The conservative design of the Xbox one console alone screams living room entertainment family center.

Parallax in Injustice: Gods Among us, but not???

I’ll be the first to admit, I am disgustingly excited for the Injustice, which is really just DC’s version of Marvel’s Civil War run. I pre-ordered the battle edition. This trailer shows off a different side of Hal Jordan, and another emotion he’s capable of instilling. When I first watched the trailer I got super pumped, and excited… then it had time to resonate, and the whole thing began to unravel it’s self as another cheap addition. 

Anyone who knows the GL lore, would akin this trailer to an attempt to introduce Parallax in some way, shape or form. This would be great, if the production team on the game hadn’t just done a quick pallet swap and recording of some wild lines about fear with Adam Baldwin, Hal Jordan’s voice actor. Hal as Parallax had a very distinct powerful and fear inducing look, and that just can’t be capture with a quick color swap from Green to yellow.

I can look past the reuse of moves, as they do indeed take much more time to conceptualize, program, and develop, but the base for the costume is there, in the comic books… I’d really rather not be the whiney fan that asks for too much, but this simple color switch, where there should be a whole new skin, in what looks like an integral story plot point of the game, will really stunt some aspects of immersion into the world. This is not Mortal Kombat, the DC lore goes farther back and deeper than that. Those tricks won’t work here.

Raven Gameplay Reveal for ‘Injustice: Gods Among Us’

Raven reveal’d as a character in DC’s Injustice: Gods Among us. looks like her dad finally got his wish and this bitch is looking evil. I guess you can only run away from your ultimate destiny for so long… I hope she gets and alternate costume where she’s Raven Simone.

Recently had a pretty bad accident causing me the sight in my left eye, so I decided to pay homage to all the one-eyed badasses in the Comicbook, and Anime, and Video Game Universes. I am proud to join their ranks :)

So Superman: Red Son is going to be DLC for the new Injustice Gods among us game coming out. I think this is great and all but after watching the video I became a bit worried and disappointed in this DLC. Why? I saw no sign of Soviet Batman…

Soviet Batman being such an amazing and integral character in Mark Millar’s Red Son story line, I would think it would be a no brainier to incorporate him and his sweetly designed Costume. I don’t want to go in to detail as to what his role entailed, just in case you haven’t read it, but they could have done a good amount with him… Instead they introduce Soviet Grundy, an original character redesign that literally no one could even pretend to be excited about.

Hopefully this dev diary didn’t give the full DLC Detail and other characters such as Green Lantern has his All American air force costume as a skin as well… If you’re going to give us the Red Son Universe, GIVE US THE GODDAMNED RED SON UNIVERSE! Don’t only skin some and ignore others… Make that shit as immersive as possible!
