The Nerdiest Kids: The Hunger Games = Battle Royale?

Unless you’ve been living under a rock the past several months, you know that the movie based on the novel The Hunger Games is coming out. To be honest, I had never heard of this book until advertisements for the movie started circulating the internets. When it was released, I was a freshman… READ FULL POST

Going super Saiyin should be the new Planking.
Most of these “body memes” (that’s what I call them. Don’t judge me!) like Planking and Owling, are lazy. They are also only really meant for photographs. We need one for video and “Going Saiyin” would be perfect for that. The idea of a person screaming at the top of their lungs with that one gigantic vein popping out of their forehead as if they are passing the worlds largest kidney stone is hilarious. And the idea of them doing it in public!? Even more Hilariouser <—- New word
The least informed nerds who only know Dragon ball from the english dubs will tell you “You can’t go Super Sayin, because you aren’t Asian”… and they are completely wrong. Son Goku wasn’t Asian, he was an alien that fell to earth. He just so happen to be found and adopted by Granpa Gohan, who was Asian. Saiyin are Saiyin’s from the Planet Vegeta. And the only reason Gohan and Trunks and Gotenks can go SS is because they are half Sayin; they are halfling Aliens. Nuff Said.
So you should start going Super Sayin and getting it on Film. Submit us links your beast Super Saiyin going skills and we’ll review and post them. Do it in your room. Do it in Public. Do it during family dinner. Do it on the toilet? Just go super Saiyin!
To the new Planking! Going Super Saiyin.

First Look of the Day: Thirteen years later, Cowboy Bebop director Shinichirō Watanabe is reuniting with Cowboy Bebop composer Yoko Kanno for a brand new anime about “a naive boy and a scruffy boy [who] share a passion for jazz in a provincial town in the late 1960s.”
Based on Yūki Kodama’s same-named manga series, Sakamichi no Apollon is set to air this April on Fuji TV’s anime programming block, Noitamina.

$1,000 ‘AKIRA’ Jacket The Last Piece Of Clothing You Will Ever Need [Fashion]
Does it still count as cosplay if you spend nearly $1,000 on an official replica, or is that just looking really damn good? In any event, the object in question is one of the greatest accoutrements in all of science fiction and comics: the iconic red “capsule” jacket worn by Kaneda in AKIRA. The jacket and an alternate black version are the first pieces of merchandise being offered by Bandai Visual as part of “A” Project, a celebration of AKIRA for the 30th anniversary of the legendary manga by Katsuhiro Otomo.
According to Anime News Network, the jacket is made from oil-softened cowhide leather and comes in medium, large, double-large, and triple-large (Japanese sizes, mind you). A black version is also available, although that one replaces the capsule image with a graphic that reads “2019 A.D. 28 Neo Tokyo.” Both items are available for pre-order now for Â¥69,800 or approximately $900.
We urge you in the strongest possible terms to purchase this jacket at once. There is no downside whatsoever. Just do it. And then send us the photos.
