Monty Oum's RWBY is Action Anime Genius.
With Youtube fast growing into the video hub version of the great pacific garbage patch of the internet, there are often a few gems that deserve praise and recognition. One of those fast coming series is RWBY which will be on the Roster Teeth Channel. Rooster Teeth building great popularity for their Halo machinima series “Red vs Blue”. The mastermind behind the project is machinima action legend, Monty Oum. I do mean machinima in it’s original and traditional sense; as in ”the use of real-time 3D computer graphics rendering engines to create a cinematic production.” which no longer has much of anything to do with the youtube “Machinima” network.
Monty Oum, in the past has animated amazing choreographed machinima mash-up action pieces, such as “Haloid” and “Dead Fantasy”. With those taking the internet by storm, Monty was quickly scooped up by Rooster Teeth, to further improve their ongoing RvB series.
Snap to 2013! Over a period of time, Rooster Teeth has been releasing trailers for their new series RWBY, and HOLY SHIT! The animation feels very much so like a video game cinematic, while at the same time, could easily work for an anime series. Each majestically designed trailer has it’s own color palette, personality, and environmental feel. All that combined with smartly unique choreographed action sequences that will leave you scraping your bottom jaw up off the floor. The whole thing is really whimsical as you watch the individual excerpts. If you have a fetish for gun-swords, then expect this astounding sonuvabitch to blow your pants off.
Needless to say, I’m super looking forward to RWBY Check out RWBY “Black”!

DC have renamed Captain Marvel "Shazam" in the New 52.
2 years of new non-history attempting erasing 72 years of well ingrained history. The only medium of entertainment that has manged to catch up with this very recent change is Video Games, via Injustice.
I don’t even think an issue was released where he says his name is Shazam, yet. It’s acop-out. The wizard is still Shazam, as that is still who gave him his powers… Maybe by law his name is Shazam … But, fuck the police! :(
Understanding the XBOX One.
For you people who just cannot seem to grasp how amazing this whole Xbox One reveal is, let me lay this out on the table for you, because many of your disappointments come from misunderstanding and projected expectation.
This was a ‘Console reveal’, not a video games reveal. The fact that in their hour long conference they didn’t even really have time to touch on the games is kind of a big deal. The Xbox One is not simply a “Video game console”. They focused on the All-in-one motif for a reason. It is indeed a full on well rounded entertainment system. Anyone one who has been doing their research keeping up with the trends of the video game industry knows, and may have many a time said themselves that one day the PC, the television, and video game console will one day be one entity. The Xbox One is taking the reins of that day. If you think about it, It started in the Xbox 360 before moving here. The Xbox 360 didn’t have most any of the apps in the beginning of it’s run, that it has now. The conservative design of the Xbox one console alone screams living room entertainment family center.
